FAQ
GauzeStix FAQ
Quick answers for dentists and teams using GauzeStix in post-extraction care.
What is GauzeStix?▸
GauzeStix is a touch-free intraoral gauze holder designed to make post-extraction care cleaner, more hygienic, and more comfortable for patients while enhancing your practice’s professional image.
What makes GauzeStix different from regular gauze?▸
Traditional gauze requires folding and manual handling. GauzeStix arrives pre-folded, mounted, and ready to use—eliminating mess, saving chair time, and creating a more modern post-op experience.
Can GauzeStix be reused?▸
No. Each GauzeStix is a single-use disposable product intended for one patient and one extraction event.
How does GauzeStix work?▸
After extraction, place GauzeStix so the patient can bite gently on the pre-folded gauze. The device holds the pad securely, applying consistent pressure without needing patients to touch or fold gauze.
Can GauzeStix be used on both sides of the mouth?▸
Yes. Each unit is designed for one side at a time, ensuring proper bite pressure and comfort.
How long should the patient keep GauzeStix in place?▸
Typically 30–45 minutes, or as directed by your standard post-operative protocol.
Why are there two versions of GauzeStix?▸
Each model is anatomically shaped for its region—GauzeStix for Molar and Premolar Extractions is designed for posterior teeth, while GauzeStix for Third Molar Extractions is made specifically for wisdom tooth areas.
Is there a GauzeStix for anterior teeth extractions?▸
We’re currently developing a GauzeStix model for anterior extractions. It’s designed to provide the same comfort and hygiene benefits in the front region of the mouth and will be available for purchase once production is finalized.
When should GauzeStix be placed?▸
Immediately after extraction, once the surgical phase is complete and the site is ready for compression.
Can I buy GauzeStix without setting up automatic deliveries?▸
Yes. You can make one-time purchases or enroll in an “Automate & Save” plan for ongoing convenience and discounts.
What is the “Automate & Save” program?▸
It’s a flexible delivery plan that automatically ships cases every 2, 4, or 6 weeks—helping you maintain stock and reduce reorder hassle.
Can I change or pause my automatic deliveries?▸
Yes. You can modify, skip, or cancel upcoming shipments anytime through your account dashboard, giving you full control over delivery frequency and timing.
How many cases should I order?▸
Estimate based on your extraction volume:
• Every 10 molar or premolar extractions per week → 1 case of GauzeStix for Molar and Premolar Extractions every 4 weeks

Do you offer refunds?▸
Refunds aren’t issued. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email info@gauzestix.com within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll replace the affected items or issue a store credit of equal value. Please include photos of the shipping box, packaging, and lot label for verification.
